Brawl Stars 69.230 (season 54) has already been released — a new school update begins on September 1.
Brawl Stars 69.230 was officially released on September 1, 2026, right before the start of the new school year. The developers decided not to leave the students without gifts and launched the big update "Royal Academy and Brawl-O-Ween". The game features new fighters, a new character acquisition system, a future collaboration with Duolingo, an unusual Gus assistant, and many other content. And ahead of the players there is also the 55th season of the Brawl Pass, dedicated to Halloween.
What's new in Brawl Stars 69.230?
The main feature of the update is that now you can get new fighters in a completely different way. The old Starr Road was redesigned and replaced with the Brawler Blast system. Credits are still needed, but after accumulating them, the player gets to a kind of shooting gallery.
Targets with fighters that you don't have yet appear on the screen. You need to shoot at them until the last character remains. He will be your new fighter. Sometimes the game also allows you to choose one of several characters on your own.
Special fragments can be obtained for destroying targets. They help you upgrade a newly discovered fighter faster: add power levels, gadget, star power, hypercharge, or buffy.
Cosmo is a new fighter with space attacks
The September update introduced Cosmo is a mythical fighter associated with space and gravity. His usual attack releases three projectiles that fly in a circle. The further they fly away, the bigger they become and the harder they beat their opponents.
Super Cosmo can attach a special magnet to the enemy. After that, the attacks of the allies begin to be much better directed towards the chosen target. It turns out to be a great option for a team game when you need to quickly deal with one dangerous opponent.
Cosmo also has a gadget that knocks enemies away, and a telescope capable of showing invisible fighters and preventing opponents from using jumps, jerks, and teleporters.
Vince will appear next
The second new fighter is Vince. He works as a barista and for some reason is very fond of insects. In battle, Vince attacks opponents with coffee, and caterpillars periodically appear next to him.
If Vince collects these caterpillars, they turn into moths and give him additional advantages. His Super puts a special effect on the enemy, after which Vince's normal attacks deal more damage.
Vince is a mythical rarity and will be available later as part of the update. The developers have prepared several gadgets and star powers for him, so this strange barista is sure to find fans quickly.
The Starr Road was sent back in time
One of the most noticeable changes was the acquisition of fighters. Instead of the usual Starr Road, the Brawler Blast is now used. At the same time, the number of credits required for various rarities remained the same.
- Rare fighter — 160 credits;
- Super rare — 430 credits;
- Epic — 925 credits;
- Mythical — 1900 credits;
- Legendary — 3,800 credits;
- Ultra — 5,500 credits.
The developers also completely redesigned the screen of the collection of fighters. The cards have become more compact, the list now scrolls horizontally, and there is also a convenient search button.
Brawl Stars goes back to school with Duolingo
September was not complete without school. This time, Brawl Stars has teamed up with Duolingo. There will be a special event in the game where up to 20 players will be able to fight against the Duo boss at the same time.
The most interesting part begins during the battle: The Duo will ask questions, and the players will have to quickly choose the right answer. The correct option will bring a boost, and a mistake can result in loss of health or even defeat.
The event is scheduled for September and will last two weeks. Along with it, there will be tasks, daily rewards, and a special events section.
Gus got an air assistant
For Halloween, the developers have prepared an unusual character for the main screen. It's a balloon named Looney, which is associated with Gus.
You can interact with it: click on it, move it, shake it, and even throw it. Looney will react to wins, losses and other events in the game. And if you complete all six winning tasks every day, you can get additional rewards inside the ball.
The rewards will be Starr Drops or Chaos Drops. If a player forgets to pick up a gift, the game will automatically give it away the next day.
Preparations for Brawl-O-Ween
have begunThe Halloween part of the update got its own story. Over the course of a month, players will have to solve puzzles, make community decisions, and gradually find out what's going on with Gus.
The developers also promise to bring back the familiar Halloween bosses and add a new slot machine with a coffin. The event will develop in stages, so some of the surprises are still a mystery.
New powerups for fighters
The update has added new buffs for several fighters. For example, Poco has received redesigned abilities that help him better heal his allies and thwart his enemies.
El Primo has also received changes that allow him to rush into battle more aggressively. In addition, new powerups have been prepared for Amber, Gus, Chuck and Shade. And Nori and Wendy got new hypercharges.
And where is the 55th season of Brawl Stars?
Despite the fact that the update was already released on September 1, it's too early to talk about the full launch of the 55th season. First, players will see the 54th season of "Royal Academy", which belongs to the September part of the update. This will be followed by the 55th season of "Brawl-O-Ween", dedicated to Halloween.
So the Brawl Stars 69.230 version is not just a small update with a new fighter. The developers have redesigned the way they get the characters, added Cosmo, prepared Vince, changed the collection of fighters and laid the foundation for several big events at once.
September 1 turned out to be especially unusual for schoolchildren: while the school year begins, Starr Park already has its own "school", and ahead of the players there are battles with the Duo, Halloween mysteries and a new season of Brawl Pass.
