Maneater is a spectacular action game with RPG elements in which the player has to take control of a shark and go from a helpless cub to a real marine nightmare. The game takes place in the dangerous waters of Photic Bay, where humans, predators and nature itself are fighting for power over the ocean.

Gameplay

You begin your journey as a small shark, forced to hunt, feed, and avoid threats. With each absorbed enemy, the character evolves, becoming faster, stronger and more deadly. In the open world, people with harpoons, other marine predators, warships and unexpected events await you.

The game offers free exploration of seven major coastal regions, from swamps and beaches to the depths of the ocean. Each biome is distinguished by enemies, conditions, and dangers, which requires constant adaptation of tactics.

The system of development and mutation

Maneater actively uses RPG mechanics. As you progress, you unlock improvements and mutations that allow you to change the style of the game. The shark can acquire bone armor, electric shocks, venomous attacks and other unique abilities.

Development affects not only combat, but also survival: speed, maneuverability, damage resistance, and hunting efficiency increase.

Plot and atmosphere

The storyline campaign is presented in the format of a pseudo-documentary show with a voiceover by Chris Parnell. The story revolves around revenge against humans and opposition to hunters who consider themselves masters of the ocean. Black humor and irony organically complement the intense action.
