Gato Roboto is an unusual metroidvania platformer in which the player controls a brave cat exploring a mysterious alien station. The main character finds herself in a dangerous underground complex and gets the opportunity to control a powerful armored mech. The combination of pixel graphics, science fiction and a cute cat makes the adventure especially unusual.

The main gameplay is based on exploring locations, fighting and finding new routes. Inside the fur, the cat is able to destroy hostile creatures, overcome dangerous obstacles and fight the opponents guarding the complex. But the armor is not suitable for all situations, so sometimes you will have to get out and use the heroine's small size and agility to make your way through narrow tunnels and secret passages.

As you progress, new weapons, upgrades, and abilities are revealed, allowing you to enter previously inaccessible areas. The player will have to explore dozens of manually created locations, find hidden secrets and gradually restore the picture of the mysterious events that took place at the station before the arrival of the main character.
