Don't Starve: Pocket Edition is a mobile version of the popular sandbox game from Klei Entertainment studio, which first became famous on PC. Now Android players can go to this dark and unusual world, where the main rule is to survive at all costs.

The story tells about a strange scientist named Wilson. He finds himself in a mysterious reality full of dangers and strange creatures. To stay as long as possible, you need to keep an eye on hunger, do not stay without heat, and be sure to have a light source at night.

Gameplay and survival

At the beginning of the passage, the main task is to explore the world around you and collect resources. The player will have to wander around the map, search for useful materials and create the necessary items for survival.

You should be careful, because dangerous creatures live around — from aggressive monsters to swarms of bees. In the early stages, the character is quite vulnerable, so any careless collision can lead to loss of health. At the same time, recovery does not happen too quickly, so it is better to avoid unnecessary battles.

The night becomes especially dangerous. If the hero does not have a torch or a campfire, the screen plunges into darkness, and the character dies. However, death here does not mean the complete end of the game — on the contrary, it is part of the progress.

Characters and development

After the death of a character, the player can gain experience or unlock a new hero. There are several characters in the game, and each of them has its own characteristics and skills, which makes the passage a little different.

The crafting system in Don't Starve: Pocket Edition has been well adapted for mobile devices. You can use it to create tools, build a base, and gradually develop your shelter. You can also interact with some of the inhabitants of the world — for example, make friends with pigmen.

Features of the game world

The game does not have a classic ending, but there is an important milestone that is considered a serious challenge for the player — the onset of winter. When the cold season begins, survival becomes much more difficult, and many mechanics require a more thoughtful approach.

Disadvantages

Among the disadvantages, there are rare suspensions that occur at some points in the game. The project also lacks the Russian language. If performance problems may be related to early versions of the game, then the appearance of an official Russian localization is unlikely, since it is not even in the original version on the PC.
