Terminal 81 is an atmospheric indie game combining the genres of work simulation, mystical thriller and psychological horror with an expressive retro style. The events take place in 2008 on the outskirts of a fictional area of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The plot

Against the backdrop of the global financial crisis of 2008, the main character, Lorena, decides to move to the metropolis of Sao Paulo, hoping to find a stable job and support her family. Soon, she manages to get a job at a local supermarket, unaware that her workplace is located in an area called Terminal 81, an abandoned industrial area mired in poverty, crime and indifference.

Grim reality

With every day of her stay in this harsh area, Lorena learns more and more frightening details. It turns out that several young women have recently gone missing. Immersing herself in the atmosphere of Terminal 81, communicating with locals and exploring its dark corners, she realizes that something terrifying is hiding behind the outer shell of the Latin American quarter: a mysterious criminal group involved in murders, prostitution and human trafficking holds its power here.

Gameplay

An in-depth study of the area awaits you, acquaintance with its inhabitants and constant verification of your moral choice. What decisions will Lorena make? Will she be able to solve the mysteries of Terminal 81 and preserve her own humanity?
