The plot

You find yourself in a surreal school and have to find seven notebooks by solving simple examples. Every mistake makes Baldi faster and more dangerous. Over time, the usual rules break down, and the school itself begins to work against you.

Gameplay

The game is based on stealth and panic. You explore procedurally generated corridors, collect notebooks, and use strange objects ranging from lock picks to speed-up bonuses. Baldi and his "friends" can hear any noise, so it's important to move carefully, choose a route, and hide in time.

The remaster features different playstyles that change the pace and tactics of escape.

Graphics and sound

The style intentionally looks "cheap", like the old 3D programs of the 90s, but in the remaster it has become cleaner and more atmospheric. Sound plays a key role: Baldi's footsteps, his voice and the creaking of the doors create a constant feeling that you are being hunted.
