Twilight Railway
Twilight Railway greeted me with an atmosphere of quiet anxiety: I play as Tatsunami Shion and explore step by step the deserted station connected with the story that began in Saihata. From the very first minutes, it is felt that the game focuses not on fear, but on emotions — it is more important to understand the characters' past and find the very grain of happiness that binds their destinies. It feels a bit like Detention, but much softer and calmer.
How is the investigation going
The game is based on dialogues and small puzzles. I don't have to be afraid of the screamers — they just don't exist here. Instead, I carefully explore each room, compare the details, study the notes and communicate with the characters. The new dialog system turned out to be convenient: you can talk right during the research, which makes what is happening lively and natural.
Atmosphere and plot twists
The story is tied to the themes of love, pain and choice. Gradually, I'm learning more and more about the bonds between the characters and how their past turned out. The tone of the narration is calm, but catchy — sometimes I literally slowed down to digest another fragment of the plot.
Two endings and a bonus after completing
Twilight Railway takes about 3-4 hours, but it's enough time to feel the emotional weight of the story. My decisions lead to one of two endings, and after completing the game, bonus content opens — a pleasant reward for those who want to see more.
