Granny Revamp

Granny Revamp is a fan—made remake of the iconic mobile horror story that tries to breathe new life into a familiar nightmare. I launched the mod out of curiosity, but in the end I got the feeling that I was playing a redesigned version of the original Granny with enhanced features, new enemies and a deep customization for myself.

The developers were clearly inspired by the Granny Recaptured project, so the emphasis here is not only on fear, but also on visual, convenience, and freedom to choose how to play the game.

Plot and atmosphere

The story remains true to the classics. I wake up in a locked room in a maniac's house and get only five days (of attempts) to find a way to freedom. A grandmother and her "family" roam the house, and any mistake quickly turns into a chase.

In addition to the usual Grandparents, new threats appear in Granny Revamp: Spider-Mom and Slendrina. They make the familiar mansion less predictable and force you to change routes on almost every playthrough.

Gameplay and settings

It is based on classic house exploration, collecting objects and solving puzzles. But the main difference between the version is flexible customization. Before starting, I can choose the enemy line-up, disable the toughest opponents, set up the chase music, and even activate themed mods like Ice House.

The passage proceeds in the usual format: five days to escape, constant stealth and thinking through every step. At the same time, the game allows you to adjust the complexity to suit yourself — from intense horror to a more relaxed exploration.

Graphics and sound

Visually, the project looks like an updated classic Granny with improved lighting and lightmaps. The locations have become deeper and more atmospheric, and the shadows add tension.

The main feature is a fully three—dimensional main menu. We are also pleased with the sound customization: you can choose chase music and background tracks from different projects in the universe, creating your own horror style.
