The plot hasn't been changed much: you wake up in a creepy house and have to get out in 5 days. But now there is a choice of how to get out — you can fix the car, try to call the police, or just open the main door if you have enough nerves and resources. At the same time, you find notes and objects that gradually reveal what kind of trash was going on here.

The gameplay remained true to the classics, but became noticeably more intense. Grandma has become smarter — she hears every step, reacts to the light and can appear where you don't expect her at all. You really have to sneak around, not run around like crazy. You loot rooms, collect keys, solve puzzles and try not to catch the screamer at the dumbest moment.
