Mind the Gap

Mind the Gap is a psychological visual novel that doesn't scream screams, but crushes the atmosphere and the feeling that everything around is a little... wrong. You just wake up on a train that you didn't get on at all, and from that moment on, a strange, sticky story begins.

No chases and no action — it's all about dialogue and tension. There are the same lost people around, each with their own cockroaches, and the main question is who can you trust at all. As you communicate, you begin to realize that no one happened to be here by accident, and the further you go, the more you get the feeling that it won't be so easy to get out.

The gameplay is classic for the genre: you read, choose your lines, follow the details and try not to miss the important little things. The story unfolds gradually, without sudden turns, but that's what catches on — the tension is growing slowly, but surely.

The game already has a decent amount of text, character voiceover (which is rare for such projects), and a fully hand-drawn visual. Everything is done with the soul: from sprites to backgrounds that create the right mood without unnecessary overload.
